Step 1:

First, lay out the boundary wire in the shape and place you want the invisible fence to be. Run the twisted wire to the transmitter and plug it in.

Step 2:

Hammer the Securing Staple over the wire about every five – six feet. Once this is done, check for any areas that the wire is still raised. If you see any raised wire, staple it to the ground. The wire must be completely flushed to the ground for safety.

Step 3:

Another securing staple will go where twisted wire and the beginning of the dog containment fence meet. In the event of a splice, bury the splice about two inches deep. Place a staple in front and behind the splice to relieve pressure on it.

Step 4:

Go to each corner of the yard and place a staple there. If the yard is not square, just pick out sections that will act as anchor points. Then continue adding staples to any areas that require it. Any raised wire will be a tripping hazard, so this must be avoided.
